So I'm guessing that tour of the Scripps/Poway Parkway animal tunnel and surrounding areas will have to wait?

Heal well, heal soon.

And next time, tuck and roll!

unless you want to walk it lol

sasquatch or mongooseboy could show you around if you like though, we're all neighbors.

Funny but I don't have any clue what I did to break it so don't even have a cool story to go with the cast. First started hurting back in Oct '08 - doc took xray and suspected a break but I said no I hadn't fallen recently and the follow up xray the next day came back clean. I've been ignoring the pain ever since till it got real bad back in Feb - oops

Looking good so far, bandages are off - now just like 6 months of a cast and hope it heals.

Here's to a full recovery. The longest I've ever been in a cast was three months and that's only because I re-broke the bones when the cast was still on.

Best wishes for a good recovery!

Jeez, 6 months of a cast is gonna feel sickening when it's removed. I got my Rocket Red cast sawed off after a week, and the wrist was already all frozen up. I've had a Luscious Lime cast on for a week and a half, and it's scheduled for removal Friday. I can not wait...

Good luck! Is yours a fresh break? Sounds like healing goes quicker when you catch them quickly.

My surgery actually was pretty easy, and pain was pretty low during recovery - I didn't get the hip bone graft but the vascualr graft was no biggy. Supposedly the hip bone ones hurt alot though.

I just got my Exogen 4000 Ultrasound "bone growth stimulator" over lunch - I SOOOOO know what I'm using that bad boy for

Thanks! Nah, it actually happened back in late september 09. I actually thought it was really bad sprain and treated it as so. 6 months later and a few rides including noble for the first time, the numbing pain started to get annoying. So I called my primary care phys and he said get an xray before I refer you to phys therapy. Low and behold scaphoid frracture.

But damm! that is some incision on your wrist.

It look like we might have some company, Charlie at Cal Coast Bicycles may have broken his wrest, I got an email from him last night saying he went down hard on Noble, he has an appointment today to see if it’s broken, he’s pretty sure it is.

I just heard back from Charlie, it's a chipped bone and not a brake.

Not sure if you guys know about these or not, but a coworker says they are awesome. She and her daughter have used them in the past and they stand up to baths, pools and ocean use.
