Hey guys,
Does anyone have a recommendation for a really god knee doctor? My knee has kept me from running and riding for over two weeks and it pretty much hurts all the time. Not sure if it is tendonitis or something torn. Any advice would be appreciated...I'm going crazy not doing anything.

Looking for someone between san marcos/encinitas/carlsbad.

Dr. Suraj Achar @ La Jolla Family/Sports Medicine. He has been helping me with joint injuries for a few years. Healing vibes, dude. Get well so we can ride again.

Dr. Tal David did both my roommates knees and my clavicle fracture. He might have moved from oasis sports medicine on kearny villa road. I know the doctors in that office do quite a few surgeries on professional athletes.

YEP...Pacific Orthopedics in encinitas, Dr Patrick Padilla. He re-attached my patellar tendon and reconstructed my knee capsule. Did an awesome job and they have in house PT so its all in one place. He skis and rides so he gets it. Hope this helps.

I second Dr. Tal David, but he left Oasis. The other docs at that place work on the chargers...

I'm hoping I don't need a knee doc. Whacked my kneecap hard on the stem almost 2 weeks ago when a hop over a log didn't go as planned. I'm guessing that a bone bruise could linger as long as 2+ weeks so I'll wait another week to see if it gets better before going to the doc.

Been there for sure. bruised kneecaps seem to last like 4 weeks until it is comfortable to ride ( i did mine real bad one year snowboarding and was off the board for two months.....i bet some of it was mental  )

thanks everyone for suggestions. going to my accupunturist on monday to be sure it isn't just tendonitis and me being a pu$$y..
