Well, N10sive and I rode on Saturday and he got a little hurt.
We hit this table top at full speed and it sent both of us flying, I held it together and went into the bushes. Unfortunately N10sive crashed hard and broke his collar bone into three pieces. We went to the ER and the doctor didn't know what to do, so they put him in a sling and he's going to the orthopedist tomorrow to figure out if he needs surgery.
I sort of captured the end of his crash on video.

Everyone wish N10sive a speedy recovery

Well, that video answers some questions in a couple of other threads about what happened to N10sive. I know it was painful, but at least he's not in N10sive care. Hope the ortho fixes it fast, and let the healing begin. Sounds like he's giving himself a new bike when he's back.

He needs to sell his current bike before he can buy a new bike.

Hey G, hope it all heals quicker and stronger than you think.. Maybe a bit selfish, but I'm sure not looking forward to you not being out there riding with us! Leave it up to Abz to title your video butt hurt.. right?

so.. on a much lighter note, what kind of bike do you have in mind?

let me know how that apt goes.

Here's to a speedy recovery N10sive. Collarbones heal pretty fast. Get the surgery if you think it may not heal right in a sling. 3 breaks sounds like surgery to me. I chose not to have surgery after my 2nd collarbone break in 09 and now regret it since I have a sharp bone bit that punches through my skin.

Thanks for the support everyone. Was going to wait till I got some x-rays to post but don't have any.

Verdict is surgery, I can be out of s sling in a couple days and it should heal stronger with the same felexibilty. I was worried letting it heal by itself would devrease my ROM. Hopefully all goes well and I'm back to riding in January, maybe not full DH or go a little slower. Wait did I just say that? Must be getting old.
