Some great guys helped me out as they loaded me into the truck, very painful ride down mountain . Spent remainder of evening at Tri City in O slime.

I have a tibial plateau break and a broken heel.

This occurred trying to break my fall as I was coming in for a landing crooked.

Anyone else have a similar break??

I have been doing foot exercises with foot of bad leg to reduce atrophy and have practiced going up and down stairs thus far. Popped three vicidins since incident!

If any of you have had similar injury please reply. I'll post up CT scan pics soon.

Nothing like a painful ride to the ER.....
Best thing is to keep doing the exercises.

Hope you heal quickly!

Tibial fractures heal pretty quickly and easily. I've had both legs broken at different times. Both times they had me in a boot and crutches for about 6 weeks. Not too bad. Don't know about the heel though, that sounds different. Like DB said, keep doing the exercises to keep your leg strong.

Did you run video during the crash?

Lol! Sorry, not at you pain and misfortune, but for the memories.
Heel fx, ahh now that bring back memories.

Sadly atrophy will start to suck the calf muscle within a week, once immobilize.
If heel ain't totally gnarled, they will let it heal while your leg heals. Whatever you do obey your othopods advice.
They will want you to basically stay off it for many moons. Me being the good child i am, decided after 3 moons to bear weight as tolerated.
I was told, if it heals right we wont have to operate. Walking apparently did not contribute to the healing process.
The surgery involved re- breaking the bone, taking bone graft from my hip. Then pin the whole thing together.
I can't remember how long but i was a very long time before I could walk wo pain. Had slight limp, that i could sometimes hid. My calf only partially recovered even with running.

SO I hope your's heals up the 1st time.
You will surley be ok as I had an high impact to mine.

...we wont go into the arthritic changes over then next 20 years.

Hang in there baby. As Fred babe said, healing vibes sent your way, dude.

You guys and Gal are awesome. I will
Post my CT scans when I can get to them
you all motivate me and we have motivated others in thier time of need, it's the great biker reach around.
I have been crutching around a lil, don't have any help for cleaning myself up have not showered since crash I need to get baby wipes soon.

I'm practicing flexing muscles so I can still
Maintain circulation in other extremities.

My front thigh really hurts as I crutch around because it's taking weight of full leg.

But here I lay praying and praising, thanking all of you and GP for the help in this life changing event.

Tri-city in Oceanside took forever to simply treat my wound of the crash.

I have surgery next week to screw me up
And plate me.
