Anyone up for a short 4 miler at Calaveras after work today?

Short but, kinda hard. I was thinking about doing my personal hill torture loop.

SkyHaven to the damn, down the spine, up carwash all the way to the pad then down snake and out.

It's been a while since I've done this loop, but I was doing it once in a while just to work on climbing fitness. Nothing like a nice 1.5 mile climb that gains 300 feet to work on climbing stamina.

Go up to the top of the volcano after the dam, then do the spineway down. That will kick start your fitness.

Just came back from there and went down the east/south side of the volcano. The right hander leading to the left turn steep down now is so blown out its like a tilled field FYI.

Have a feeling they went down that section last night, Shannon likes that way down  ; Terry is now going down on the East side, widow maker like shit!!

You add .5 ml and get another 300 ft elev if you drop in left and across the bridge, turn rt at the sign, cross the little bridge, turn rt after a short up, down to the lake and left towards the dam, take the left and start climbing towards the north side of volcano, this will take you to the spine.

What time? I could start around 5:30.

I was thinking about 5:30 start time.

I'm NOT going to top of Volcano today, but Fred's extra might be ok.

Yes, we did go down the way that was all blown out like soft powder. I walked that part, not really in the mood for another hospital trip quite yet.
