I hate being cold, but I forced myself to get out and do some road time. By the time i climbed the hill, i live at the bottom of, my throat hurt from the cold air hitting it. Pushing on i went a few more miles. I was miserable. I almost went home. I was warm, but still cold. Shedding my jacket, I headed out Poway. Ended up looping up Saber Springs Pkwy to the malls then back into Poway. Yea I was cold but i ceased to be miserable. Only did 14 miles, still a good ride, and i got that feel good feeling!

Good job getting out. I rode yesterday. 'twas cold, windy and rainy for a bit; but the sun came back out and then I was warm and toasty (glass half full). It was great as there was hardly any vehicle traffic and almost no one else (compared to normal) on two wheels along the coast. :D

I think it was warmer at the coast. I was on silver strand and didn't need my ear covers.

I don't know if this is true for everyone but no matter how warm my jacket is, if my hands, feet, and ears are cold, I'm miserable. I'm sure emfc will say I'm spoiled here San Diego and need to htfu.

I was out two days ago and my hands, feet and head were warm, but the crazy thing was, my belly got cold. First time that ever happened. Felt real strange too (its not like I have a beer belly or anything like that.)
Anyway, today I ride up to the snow.
Maybe I wear an extra shirt this time.

You're not alone Liverbomb. When my hands are cold, I can't think about anything else. The toes I figured out to double sock, keeps the toes warm unless you going at warp speed or you're in Wyoming.

But that get's so boring .....

I sold mine after 3 weeks.
I don't get on a bike when it's raining and it looks like it's not gonna stop the first hours.

I don't mind the cold.

A trick to keep you hands warm, wear disposible latex gloves under your bike gloves. Works like a champ and your hands stay warm and dry.
