I had a pretty good October on the Skinny Tired Car Dodger (Road Bike), I did the Tour de Poway in 5:23 that was my first organized century. I followed it up with a little ride in the desert http://connect.garmin.com/activity/52725776. And yesterday I rolled over 5000 miles for the year. I just got on a road bike for the first time in a long time (20 years), in April. I have about 14,000 thousand feet of climbing to do to get to my goal of 300,000. But I should make it. Plus, I'm in the top 10 on the big ladder, on Geoladders. By the way... my legs still have hair on them.
In a related note: I went out and around my home stomping grounds of Sycamore Canyon Sunday. The hills still kicked my ass just like always. I don't care what the roadies say; Mountain Biking is a much more difficult type of riding. Roadies are all legs and lungs, MTBers need balance and upper body strength, as well as good legs and lungs. Not to mention the huevos factor.

Studly.....good job!

My goal was to somehow get 10,000+ feet of climbing in on a good week. or 100 miles......not easy to do but once or twice a month!

You would have to average almost 6K a week for the calendar year to hit 300K total. Cool stuff!

Oh no, actually my wife gave me some pointers the other day. I guess I have been doing it wrong all this time.
