The Tour de Poway is Oct 3 (Pretty Soon!) I am thinking of doing a sorta pre run, maybe this weekend. I live very near the course, (about 2.5-3 miles) I'm probably going up Scripps Poway Parkway, insted of Poway Rd. It has been foggy in the mornings out here and there isn't much room on that road. But up the 67 to Dye Rd., and stay on the course through the backroads of Ramona, probably double back on 67 through Ramona, and maybe down Highland Valley Road, cut back on
Bandy Canyon to the 78, and back on course. I'm not sure yet. Any one interested? Sat.-Sun.? I'm flexable, but Sunday I think would be better, because I'm putting a new (to me) bike together tomorrow night. I would rather not make that the shake down. But If people want to , and Saturday is better, I'm flexable. I'm thinking some where in the 50 to 70 mile range? Should take between 3 and 5 hours.
I did this today, http://connect.garmin.com/activity/49284226

Okay I maped out a rough route, for tomorrow it covers lots of the TDP course and I think it will end up with more climbing that the Tour.

I will lock down a starting point as soon as I hear from a couple of other riders. It is chilly out here in the mornings.

That works for me. Anyone else? This will not be a hammer fest. We'll be as fast as the slowest person. I am still working on a route. I will try and post up a map tonight, or in the morning. Plan on starting in Poway. 7:00 Sunday. Climbing up to Ramona.

A rough Idea of the route tomorrow. I have a riding partner that knows every Street, Back street, Alley, Bike Path in town we can change it up on the fly if it gets too hot or something. Pretty big day! I think we'll just start at the start on Midland Rd. Park at Bike Empire next to the Office Depot. which is closed Sundays (Bike Empire not Office Depot). 7:00 Start. PM for my phone # but do it tonight I have House Guests that are sleeping in the room with the computer in it so I can't check in the morning.
