anyone who can sustain 420 watts over 14 miles is a monster. or was this some odd 420 reference?

420w/75kg= 5.6w/kg. very elite. are you dominating those fri night races?

Are you selling a Power Tap for super cheap or something?

I'm not selling it, but lots of people on ebay are. Cheapest I've seen one sell for is $350, but most are in the $420-$470 range (wired). I just got this one on Saturday. It seems like another one gets listed every week. I was watching for a month.

Those are instantaneous numbers. I was outputing 420 Watts and going 14 mph.

I'm doing the Team Time Trial on Fiesta Island.

I thought it had something to do with a "zippy" Coach purse on ebay...

I was gonna say Pog0 might be interested, as it would go with his "zippy" leather weekend outfit.. haha

That's what I thought you were referring to. Wired units are no longer being manufactured and there is some question about whether CyclOps will support broken, wired units. Hence the low prices and the sudden dumping of PowerTap units.

Powertap COMP is wired, and still sold on their website. It's $600 MSRP for the hub, or $659 built onto a wheel at Competitive Cyclist. I would say that you'll probably be able to get head units and wiring harnesses as long as they still sell the COMP. You probably won't be able to get support on hubs without the carbon windows, but most of the stories of failure I've heard had to do with the harnesses or the head unit.
