For categories other than the Tuesday Night A, B, C. Tell your track racing friends, make this program a success.

San Diego Velodrome Association - NEWS:
TRACK RACING THIS FRIDAY - 29TH MAY

On yer bikes,… track bikes that is.

This coming Friday, 29th May, will be a special night of racing at the San Diego Velodrome for categories OTHER than our traditional Tuesday Night “Aces, B’s and C’s”

Sprinters, Women-only, Juniors, D-grade*, possibly even a (real-) Masters category if there are enough.

The need for another night’s racing has evolved from the tremendous growth in turnout on Tuesday nights where, for the first time, the C-grade has had to be split into two groups, and B-grade is at the field limit.
The first victims of this success have been the Sprinters who in past years could be accommodated on Tuesdays. That’s no longer practical, plus word is there are plenty of other riders waiting in the wings who’d like to have races for their own category.
Here is your chance to come along and race, and hopefully connect up with others who have similar interests to create a season-long series of racing.

Specific categories, contacts and race information will be posted during the week (www.sdvelodrome.com)

Please pass this information on to anyone you know who may be interested.

Entry Fees: CASH ONLY PLEASE.
SDVA members $5. Non-members $10. Juniors 1/2-price.

USACycling license NOT necessary.
ATRA and SDVA waivers can be signed on the night.
Prior track experience IS necessary

VeloYouth starts 6pm
Other categories start 6:30pm

* D-grade: This category is intended for those that have taken the adult developmental class but have 6 or fewer days of actual racing under their belt, as well as riders that have trouble keeping up with the C-Category on Tuesday nights. Contact Sean Burke Sean@cyclingscience with questions about this category

Sprinters: Contact Adam Smith with specific questions: echelonenergy@gmail.com

Women: Contact Pam Jorgensen pjorgensen101@yahoo.com

Good turnout last night. A 14 year old dominated racing.
