Got a chance to meet Jure last night. He has been in Carlsbad for the last couple of weeks training for the 2009 season. Many of you know that Jure is a 4 time RAAM 3000 mile, single stage solo winner. He will go for his 5th RAAM title in June. Jure likes to train in San Diego County because of the weather....(don't we all!) Like his friend Lance Armstrong, he really likes the Palomar Mountain climb.

All I can say is wow. I can't even fathom riding 3000 miles. It's a long way to go in a car at 80mph. That's impressive.

I asked him how much sleep he had.
He said "12 hours total." YIKES!
