Maybe Aru can't possibly win, and I haven't watched today's stage yet, but I am now rooting for him, based entirely upon his big goofy grin and the wink he gave the podium girl right here:

Mollema! Looks once, looks twice, shakes his head, looks a third time - can't believe there's no one behind him. One final look - still no one! One happy guy.

A few riders are on disk brake bikes and no one has died! Kittel even won on one.

Great to see E.B.H. get a win after being so close.

I definitely enjoyed watching the Tour this year. It helps that my wife has gone beyond tolerating it to enjoying it on her own. We'd watch every morning, and after I'd leave for work she would text me updates. She ended up rooting for Dan Martin, who, besides being likeable, well-spoken, and an aggressive competitor, is Irish and has bad teeth. Those last two are good for extra points in her book.

I regret a missed opportunity on Saturday. I went OTB and got up bloody but unbroken. Instead of saying "I'm fine, really, it's okay", I wish I had said "Fucking Sagan!!!"
