Nice morning for biking to work. Stopped at the first year every Bike to Work Day SD Mountain Bike Pit stop, awesome!:

Can't complain about my route, no "road treading" for me..

Took the goat trail up to Qualcomm pit stop, they have tons of breakfast burritos, snacks, and drinks.
Peets coffee!:

I was on and off the fence about doing the ride but then seeing the highway sign reminding drivers of the event, I felt obligated to show my presence. Started out the door shortly before 5:30. Conveniently, there were numerous pit stops along my route, so depending on when I felt I needed a break, I would pull off. As I got to the end of Pomerado Rd, the pit stop was just setting up, so I just went ahead and pulled over to get my t-shirt and a few snacks. I figured it would take just under 2 hours, so I had to keep time in order to get into work with time to clean up, so no more pit stops for me as time was of the essence. Pulled into work right at 7:15, perfect. It was nice to see a lot of riders out and about and full pit stops along the way. Felt kind of like a jerk not stopping, but I at least smiled and waved. Best part was that I have not felt one bit guilty eating snacks and a big lunch today.... Going to be in chill mode on my way home and enjoy the perfect weather and maybe attack Linda Vista, maybe.

Got lost on the commute home. This doesn't look like Carmel Valley Road. Damn, I hate when this happens!!!
