I should have said it's not as light as you'd expect for a full-carbon rig.

Serious old-school style points for the lugged steel frame and friction shifters on the downtube.

I know! The shifters remind me of the bike my father had way back when!

Thanks! Now I will definitely try to get a better suiting handlebar tape to preserve the old skool points. :lol:

Gotta get rid of those new-fangled pedals, too. Run some of these with toe clips, straps, and old-style cleats. And to think I sometimes can't unclip quickly enough running modern pedals.

Gosh you're right! I hadn't even thought of the pedals! I was so excited about using the bike properly when I first got it, that I went and bought my first set of clipless pedals (ever) ... I'll ask my friend if he still has the originals. :)
