after seeing your frou-frou mtn bike (quote per 24v), seems like you have a sweet french connection.

hope the bottle cage fits a nice bouteille de vin.

Ouais ouais, Monsieur...I am truly blown away at the road and mt offerings from this company. The cage holds most every bev I load in it. Usually just water but known to hoist many a Trenta ice coffee.

because he looked like armstrong burning ullrich.

and if he's not doping, he's an alien.

how's the electric rear shock?

the pivots on the rear sus look similar to speshi's horst linkage.

sexy velos. enjoy!

Thanks, sir.

The Ei system is very well thought out...performance is great and results in mighty big smiles. Good eye on the link. While it looks familiar, a closer look shows some neat build quality and a tweak here and there. It's beefy and much stiffer than some other horst type designs.

Armstrong and Ullrich were both doping.

1) Perhaps my own naïveté, but I'd rather assume he's clean and destroying the field due to better preparation, staying healthy and not hitting the deck early in the race. Too lazy to look up which of the also rans did crash (aside from TGV), but don't remember Nibbles going down-correct me if I'm wrong. Or 2) take the cynical view and assume they're all doping. In which case, who gives a crap?

On a different topic: It drive me nutz hearing Phil Liggett go on and on about how amazing it is when when the riders hit 45+ mph going downhill and not comment on how fricking fast they're going uphill on a finish like today.

Well he did mention that the avg. speed for todays stage was like 44 km/h...

I enjoyed the Tour this year. But I will never defend another pro roadie again on doping. I assume they all have or do dope one way or another.

my attempt at humor was apparently lacking. i will try harder next time.

....but i haven't closed the book on the possibility of him being an alien.

This is the first time in about 20 years that I didn't watch a single day of the TdF. It would have been nice for Valverde to finally get a podium finish, but wanting to see that didn't provide enough motivation to tune in. Maybe next year I'll get the bug again.

It was the last Tour for 42 year old Jens Voight, who is a co-owner of the record for most Tours, at an smazing 17 times. I enjoyed the interview with him as he finished a solo lap around the Arc de Triomphe after the finish.

Famous quote:

^^^ Dammit . . . knowing it was Jen Voigt's last tour certainly would have been sufficient motivation.

Jens Voigt is my favorite pro roadie, hands down. Will be missed.

Random observations:

The fifth stage, on the cobbles, was awesome.

Thought it was funny when Majka acted like he was gaining an advantage by pulling on the motorcycle antenna, winked at the camera and such on his way to his first stage win.

My heart sunk when Jack Bauer got passed meters from the finish after being in the break for 220 km.

Was bummed Sagan was unable to win a stage. But stoked when he wheelied, no hands, at the end of a mountain stage.

Kittle was the man in the finishing sprints.

The favorites couldn't stay upright.

Despite the 5th place finish, TVG is still annoying.
