Went for a fun ride this morning. Started down in Carmel Valley, out to Poway, north to the pedestrian bridge at Hodges, west along the north shore (loved the looks I got from some people. Some were like "Is that guy lost?" , others had to double take and one nod with eye contact that I took as, "nice!"), that little kicker from Hernandez Hideaway to Del Dios is a bitch, headwind sucked on Del Dios (having to pedal downhill blows), the Morgan Run area/valley is really pretty, was nearing the end and the odometer read 37. I wanted at least 40, so back down to the 56 bike path for a few more miles taking a round about way back to the start. All told 42 miles, lots of smiles and a sun burn. Good stuff! |
