My wife gave me a pass to go the finish line in the afternoon. I didn't even ask. Woo hoo!

last time it was a zoo and we had to put signs up and down on our street to keep people off our street.

Private road?

no its a public road.
but when you have 5000+ out of town tourists trying to park on one block, in people's driveways...and then other idiots blocking them in....and then other idiots, tailgate partying and peeing on people's lawns (which really did happen)....the entire neighborhood teamed up and said enough is enough, taking matters into our own hands.
plus half the houses in Old Town Esco dont have driveways, so our only form of parking is street parking.
everyone on our street is pretty close nit ..and we have a few cops that live on our street as well...

Or, where one will be out on the course?

Thanks

dunno about megatron tvs, but i think cole grade will be the place to watch. i was gonna watch the descent somewhere on south grade, but i don't know that the east grade climb will be selective enough. and i don't wanna ride the extra distance. heading out in a bit. it's gonna be sorta warm again huh?

Not a bad weekend. Met Andy Schleck and Jens Voigt yesterday, up close and personal. Then spoke to Peter Sagan and Tejay Vangarderen (sp) backstage today at the finish line (well, told them good luck and got a response back). Plus a batch of free swag.

My 13 year-old daughter is officially now a bike racing fan.

It is all true. I love the ATOC starting down here. All the teams here for a couple weeks. I've seen them all prior to the Escondido stage start in La Jolla, Del Mar, Carlsbad, and all the climbs east of the 15, and on the winding mountain roads. This doesn't happen when they finish here, so take advantage when it happens next!
