San Diego-based innovative eyewear brand SPY—known for its happy irreverence—is back with the second edition of their unique and extremely challenging Spring Classic cycling event, the SPY Belgian Waffle Ride (BWR). In true Flemish fashion, the BWR will feature moules-frites, ale, waffles, and more ale, plus a 125-mile cycling extravaganza with 10,000 feet of climbing through scenic North County San Diego.

LOL:

There will be multiple aid stations for feeding, crying, and diaper changes in between the
sprints, attacks, and lung-searing climbs. Unlike other events, there will be no waiting, no
re-grouping, no hand-holding, and no easing off the gas for the old, the infirm, the lame,
the weak of spirit, the dull of mind, the feeble of leg, the faint of heart, or the flatulent of
lung. If you have, through your efforts and gutsiness made a case for your allies to wait,
then they will wait. If your only distinction has been as a Freeloader, you will be left by the
roadside to flounder your way home as best you can and ponder the rough frontier justice
of the peloton.

Wish my schedule was open!

It will be for me. I smoke a tobacco pipe on occasion.

The conclusion of this ride will definitely be one of those occasions, I will have my pipe and matches in a little zip-loc in my jersey. I cant wait to see the looks I get.
