Just registered for this ride, it is fun, will be my 3rd year doing it. Easiest way to bag a century, 100 mile shuttle ride with tour buses, mex food, beer, mariachi band, 3000 feet net elevation loss http://www.ramonafunriders.org/camachos/ March 23, 2013. Would be fun to see some DTs on the road and party. The ride down Banner Grade is awesome!

Hmmmm...doing Solvang on the 9th. May still have the legs by the 23rd. Sounds fun.

Interesting. I've been wanting to scratch a century off of the list.

Better get on it, if your gonna, Sam Powell (the ride organizer) is closing the field at 100 riders, and there are only 8 spots left!!!! Sam says he will add another 50 if they sign up and pay before March 10th.

I just got on the list. It'll give me a few days to reconsider before I have to pay. The longest I've ever ridden on the rode is 55 miles. Not sure how I can handle an additional 45. And riding amongst roadies has always brought out the competitive side of me. Not a good idea to try fending off roadies on a century.

You'll do fine on a course with that much descending. Eat right and often, stay hydrated, and get your bike fit right and it won't be any harder than The Arch Ride, which you've already done.

I guess I'm in. I don't think I'll be doing the arch this year so I need something substantial to look forward to.

OK, check is in the mail. I hope you guys aren't going to lycra up on me. Or else i'll be the only one wearing baggies, using spds, and using a visor on my helmet.

And let me know if you guys want some cytomax powder for the ride.
