So being an "American" means you can cheat, build an empire on the lie, and never have to admit your deeds? Really?

You would have made an excellent client for Bernie Madoff.

p.s. I hope your business competitors, whatever business you're in, cheat their way to the top, leave you behind, and then threaten to destroy your career and bully your family members when you threaten to blow the whistle. Screw Lance Armstrong!

I sincerely think and believe that everyone that wants him to "come clean" are just a bunch of "Hall Monitor" sissies...
So what, he cheated, he is obviusly reeping what he sown, but still, all the little kids in the school yard want him to confess his sins, how antiqauted. Im suprised the committee in charge of this entire farce hasnt tried drowning him to determine if he's a witch or not...but it takes all kinds to make this world go 'round, ya know.... the thick skinned, thin skinned, subservient, tattle tales, rats, strong willed, feeble minded, sheep, followers, lemings, timid folks, brave, egotistical, insolent, simple, abjective, sycophantic, boot-lickers etc etc etc....
I sometimes wonder what it is that sets some people off about something that seems to have no connection to them yet they deem it so important for someone to admit, submit, bend to our ways, conform, conform, conform that it really all seems preposterous to me.
But whatever, you are you, I am me, you probalbly like structure, extreme detail, have everything spelled out, written out, listed, alphbetized, moralized and sworn in on the good book. Me, I'm like a tree in the wind, one with the earth, sky, moon, sun and sea, I will live free, of mind, soul and spirit, I will not confine myself to such symmetrical entrapments, I am cool, I am the breeze.

Peace Through Superior Firepower, Might is Right.

So what if he has no integrity, right? I am fully aware how integrity is a "totally antiquated" idea for a lot of people in this world. Who is the bigger crook? Landis or Armstrong? Armstrong gained more $$ on his lies than Landis did, so I guess the latter.

Believe me, I understand why they would cheat. The pressure, the belief (probably correct) that you have to in order to compete on that level, etc. Really, the reasons are endless. There are always seemingly "good reasons" to cheat. But that never makes it right. I think the fact that Armstrong is treating EVERYONE else like the crooks and fools in this whole scam is the thing that bugs me the most. Add to that the threats against others. The cover-up is almost always worse than the crime. If he had not been such an arrogant prick most of his life he would get a lot more sympathy.

I'm sure you're a fine human being and this is nothing personal. But seriously, I hope you don't manage other people's money for a living.

Nail on the head. He's like Marion Jones on steroids (and EPO, hgh, testosterone, and an extra 500ml of his own blood).

If he won't come clean, I'd settle for him shutting up and it looks like that has finally happened.

Very little -- I saw one vague statement where he said "I've been better and I've been worse." He's way too smart not to realize that this is beyond spinning.

Funny, I've been thinking the same thing. But, fuck bro, would you? Since he's dug himself in as deep as he has, I'd imagine disappearing for the rest of his life wouldn't be a bad strategy. Seriously, what can he possibly say now? Either way he loses. Hope he has one mother fucker of an accountant, too. Because, he won't be finding work again anytime soon and no doubt those millions are going to need to be put to good work. Frankly, I've always thought he was a douche. His behavior during the '96 Olympics was enough for me. But hey, what do I know?

A lot of the rest of the world thinks so. I wish it weren't so.

i'm not sure they do. after all, what we are talking about are corporate global indiscretions. corporate, morally bankrupt indiscretions. but no one would correlate, associate, these industrial, corporate indiscretions with a populace. right?

'corporations are people'.

crap

I thought you were big on integrity . . . not that I care that much.

Everyone involved agrees that the entire pack during those years was doping. They all were on almost the exact same program with the same doctor. So, given the even playing field, Lance to me is still a champion.

They wont re-assign the Yellow jersey to anyone else for those 7 years because they were all guilty.

His pussy teammates throwing him under the bus were just as guilty and got rich themselves over their careers thanks to their time with Lance. These ex teammates of Lance are pathetic.
