He probably still can ride the legs off most. Why not have the a doper league run races. Think of who is available: Lance, Floyd, Tyler, Levi are just the Americans!

Probably could. But is that the point?

I say yes! Let them race with no doping controls whatsoever and ride until their legs literally are ridden off, or worse. I would watch.

There's always option no. 2, but being the egotist that he is, that's even more unlikely than him coming clean.

...suicide?

Update: Radioshack also just cut ties with Armstrong.

Is Trek next?

This just in: Sheryl Crow admits she doped while on Armstrong's team...

Yeah. He's boxed himself in pretty good and the things that gave his life meaning (being a dominant bike racer; being the admired head of a significant charitable organization; etc.) are being pulled apart by this lie that he seems incapable of recanting. Maybe he'll have a tragic bike accident descending at speed . . . .

Either that or he'll get religion -- nah . . . that's even more unlikely than options 1 and 2.

Now Trek, Giro, Anheuser-Busch, and Honey Stinger are jumping ship. I haven't seen so much crap reign down on an athlete in one day since OJ murdered Nicole! From velonews.com:

Trek, the bike brand that backed Armstrong following his comeback from cancer in 1998, joined the outflow of the Texan’s sponsors on Wednesday.

“Trek is disappointed by the findings and conclusions in the USADA report regarding Lance Armstrong,” the company said in a statement issued on it website. “Given the determinations of the report, Trek today is terminating our longterm relationship with Lance Armstrong. Trek will continue to support the Livestrong Foundation and its efforts to combat cancer.”

Reuters reported Wednesday afternoon that Anheuser-Busch, which has worked with Armstrong on campaigns surrounding its Michelob Ultra brand, would not renew its contract with Armstrong when it expires at the end of the year. Anheuser will continue its work with the Livestrong Foundation.

Armstrong’s longtime helmet sponsor followed suit as well. A representative from Giro told tmz.com on Wednesday that the helmet maker “will not be continuing our sponsorship of Lance Armstrong moving forward. We continue to support the cancer community through our association with Livestrong.”

Honey Stinger, the Colorado-based nutrition company in which Armstrong has invested, announced that it was in the process of removing the Texan’s image from its products.

“Honey Stinger is a small Colorado company focused on providing healthy, honey-based energy foods,” the company said in a statement. “We are in the process of removing Lance Armstrong’s image and endorsement from our product packaging. While this presents short term challenges, we look forward to growing our brand and offering our customers the best products possible.”

Evan Morgenstein, whose sports management group focuses on the brand management of Olympic athletes, told VeloNews on Wednesday that, “What you’re going to see is the greatest collapse by an American icon, sports or otherwise, in history.”

I dont see what the big deal is, he doped, so did/does everyone else thats competitive, who cares if he even admits it or not, I could give a rats ass if he admits or not, all I really care about is...

1. He's an American.

2. He won the TDF 7 times in a row, against other faithful dopers from the U.S. and other countries.

3. He's an American that won the TDF 7 years in a row against other faithful dopers from the U.S. and other countries.

4. If your not cheating and if your playing fair, that means your not trying hard enough.

Actually, I think it means you're trying harder than the guy who is cheating. Cheating, by definition, is doing something that gives you an unfair advantage; something that makes it easier for you to win.

I think that's worse than blood doping. They ought to start arresting athletes for assault. It'd be a lot easier to prove, since it's on film.

“SRAM is officially terminating its product sponsorship agreement with Mr. Armstrong. SRAM is disappointed with the revelations that the USADA report has brought forth,” SRAM’s public relations and media manager Michael Zellmann said in a statement.

I heard Lance is making a public appearance at some Livestrong event in Austin tomorrow. Wonder what he'll say?
