Bobby Root, I remember that guy from one of MTB Bill's videos. I think it was the Hurkey Creek one where he was describing how he set the record.

Record? Didn't John Howard hit 152mph drafting? A long time ago?

Anyone know what the unassisted, non recumbent, speed record is?

road bike lol. i hit over 100km/h on a full suspension. with out the drafting, to be fair i wasn't on a flat road.

Yeah, he's sucking onto that SUV pretty damn close and its tailgate is all the way up so he's probably being pushed forward by the effin reverse draft! Anyway, a pretty impressive accomplishment even given the obviously loose parameters of the record he set. Any kind of riding on a pedal bike above 50 mph freaks me out if I'm on the bike so full face hats off to him.
