I read in the paper they did catch him. He drove right by the spot in his truck with the dented fender, down the street from the same bar he had left then. Friends of the biker at a roadside memorial vigil saw him and called the cops. Story didn't say, but I'm assuming it was a drunken swerve, not an intentional swerve to hit him. Not that it would make it less tragic, just less cold-blooded.
