Come join us for the annual Borrego Springs Century coming up Sunday December 18th, 2011 in the small desert town of Borrego Springs. Rides from 32 miles to a full century. Based out of Christmas Circle. These rides feature awesome desert scenery, no stop lights and well stocked rest stops. Pre registered entrants also receive a colorful tech shirt.
We are also hosting the second annual Borrego Springs Half Marathon, Half Marathon Relay and Quarter Marathon the day before (Saturday December 17th, 2011) at the Borrego Springs High School.
This is a great way to get some late season exercise under your belt before the Holiday season commences!

Bike(s): Developing a damn quivvvvver!
Favorite Trails: Any with dirt!
Although all the routes Rich has set are semi flat (The Yaqui climb is long and cool but not steep) I plan on registering and running up Montezuma with a few others.
We plan a full loop around to Sissors Crossing and up Yaqui Pass.
I think its only a 44miler but it will take a good 3.5hrs.
Anyone want to join us (me?)

Actually our borrego springs century does not do Yaqui. The hills are texas dip (both ways) and some out on s-22 to the imperial county line.

I have not done coyote canyon for years. we may attempt it this year though.

This may be the only century ever to have less than 1000' of climbing.....EVER!

Not my type of riding.....

Rich, you should have a Borrego to Palomar and back century (almost exactly 100 miles.) 8800' of climbing. THAT is more my style.

:D
