Got almost an inch in Descanso!

I want to make it but don't know if I can get off work in time. Hopefully see you there but don't wait. Thanks as usual for setting these up.

Fun ride today. It was nice meeting everyone, but the best part was Evdog bringing beer. I'm continuing the best part at home.

Ray thanks a lot for showing us "Marbles", I finally got to ride it and really like it, I only got a few shots.

L-R: At the top we saw Jeff(I think he goes by "sleepy head" here), Evan(evdog), Gil(Gman), Daryl(Johathan_Sykes), Frank(Random Walk) and Ray(carabaoray).

See Sierragoldens I had to wait even for Daryl today

That was it as far as pictures, too much fun to stop at Bone Yard and Marbles but I think Evan has more, thanks again guys for coming along.

BTW next week we are doing the full Otay Lakes Tour, about 18 miles of mostly flowy singletrack, newbie friendly ride with minimun climbing but we are going to keep a good pace to make it more fun.
How fast can you ride on singletrack? Find out next week, more info later.

Thanks again Baja and all for showing me around. I've ridden out there maybe a dozen times and almost everything we rode after reaching RH was new to me.

Damn that 26" bike looks small under me -- felt pretty small too after riding the 29er the past few weeks.

Here's a map link for the meeting spot for next this coming Wednesday July 13 at 5:00 pm:

http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?msid=214 ... 7,0.005284

We are doing a "fast" pace ride around Upper and Lower Otay Lake and Rancher Bob's and about 18 miles of mostly single and double tracks, all are welcome and anyone with 30%+ of body fat highly encouraged to join
Frequent regroup stops and no one is left behind.

Jose, the trail is closed by the dam, they put up barb wired fence with a nice NO TRESPASSING sign. You can no longer make the climb up underneath the eucalyptice trees. Also, the entrance to Rancho Bob's has a new barb wire fence along with a sign. the fireroad leading to the downhill singletrack has been graded. At least that's what i could see in 'google earth'. :lol

will try to make it this Wed. i'll be in the 'socially slow' riders group.

Ray(Caraboaray) kicked butt, thanks for coming along. We saw Carlos(MrGiant) on the trail and heard rumors that Frank(Random Walk) was hiding from us somewhere out there also, sorry we missed you.
