Anyone interested in a Calaveras ride today? Not too fast, not too slow. Steady ride pace.

I'll be there around 4:45 or a few minutes after (silver Chevy truck).

I'm planning on riding tomorrow around 5ish.
Fred, I could use a guide for all the uphills. I went downhill far too much the last 4 days.

Fred, you are black? Huh.. all those times riding with you...I never noticed.

Anyway; good riding with you and John.

Aaron sorry we missed you. I think I saw your vehicle when we left.

Yea, I made it out there. Decided to tail end someone on the 5 north instead of be on time. Lol.

I had a great ride out there exploring. Went to the peak and scoped out the aerial view of the park, rode down and then out to the berms and jumps to finish up.

Calaveras may be one of my new fav spots for playing around.

So, did your GF stitch it at home? Good thing this happened on the tail end of you vacation. :(

Fun ride yesterday, Aaron. See you in 2-3 weeks. Keep it clean, let it scab over and let's ride.

Ps. I used this pic to get a rise out of my friends on FB and I qoute "Hospital co-pay is cheaper than crash pads." LOL! Just waiting for my mom to see it and get an e-beating.

She decided not to stitch it. Some of the tissue on the flap had already died. Instead she lectured me about wearing my pads (which were in my car) while she just cleaned it more thoroughly and butterflied it. Guess I'm going to have to wait to conquer the rock rollers.

Dang that looks messy. Did that happen at the first rock roll? Hope you heal well.

Lulz, it happened before the first roll. I didn't start in the most ideal location to gain momentum, hit a rock that killed the little I had and then couldn't unclip my foot in time. Just one of those unlucky slow motion side tips that comes with learning to unclip.

If Fred would have been kind enough to join us, we would have been climbing more than rock hopping. I guess he's absolved since he took his kids out for a ride yesterday. Nice seeing you Fred.

We all need to carry a couple of 4x4 pads and a couple of wrap bandages to cover that type of injury and control the bleeding, a piece of tape, duck tape works to stick the end of the bandage. Don't waste time and money with bandaids. Latex gloves.

My sweaty jersey had the bleeding stopped by the time me and orvin made it back to the vehicles. Luckily he had a first aid kit so I could clean it pretty well before leaving. I'm going to pick up a kit for my car as well.
