Ok for those medium length hill repeats...

7-10min dirt climbs!

I mainly do these on my road bike but I'd like to do them on my mtb to more comforable on the bike as it is a slightly different position.

Jackson (mission trails from the visitor center) from the creek to the top by the construction/vents is good but I don't like the long false flat in the middle
vowels is great but too technical for smooth repeats. Is there anything on black mnt?

looking for nontechnical 8%-16% dirt that is a constant grade and local to SD....

Otay Mt. man. Not technical and fairly consistent grade once past the first short downhill section.

Top half of powerline in Penasquitos? Not sure that there's 10 minutes of climbing there for you, but it's a good grade, with a little kick towards the top.

I would suggest the last few climbs in the Lasardi Loop (the last part of the course from Racersandchasers.com Black Mountain Race) pretty sustained, non technical and has some steep parts.

Telephone polls (powerline) in LPQ is just under 1 mile and will take approximately 5:30 minutes- to 7:00 minutes.

Main fireroad at Crestridge. 700' vertical 1.25 mile, hit's 18% as you round up towards the power polls.

Take it to the peak, it's 2 miles, 1k.

When you go down that Jackson hill that you are talking about, cross over the creek and there is a hill that is about twice as long as the one by the jackson parking lot.

You can swing down to the 67 with this as well, off slaughterhouse (?) trail and back up. Probably 3 decent 10 minute climbs right around there

There are some perfect climbs in Santa Luz and Black Mtn. (PQ) that will fill your order. PM me for details, or I can show you next Monday after work.

Main fireroad at Crestridge 2 miles, 1k.

Ah man where that! That's what I'm looking for!

Doug @ notb suggested black mnt to the top I'd be up to try that just need to give out where to start.

I'd be down to ride Monday but I leave for fruita Tuesday

The most common starting place for beginning the fire road climb is off Laurentian drive here: http://maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source= ... 9&t=h&z=16

There's way more to do at Black Mountain, but if you're looking for hill repeats, start there and climb the fire road to the top.

get off on los coches from the 8 fwy, hang a right and then another right. Looks like it is the west end of Camino Canada, lakeside. You want to park on the east side of the vons and you will see the trail going up behind the vons and wal mart. Im not sure if thats the main fireroad that he is talking about or not but that will get you there

1.9 miles ~800' vert nice and its close to my work!

Crestridge 2 miles, 1k but looks like there is a pretty good DH between 2 climbs there to get that....

If I am to drive far (aka outside of Sd proper) I'd say Nate Harrison Grade is worth the drive.
