I use a combination of Gu and cliff bars,for most rides, for really long rides I'll also carry a small bottle coconut water with me and drink it around the half way point.

I have not done many long rides since basically putting the road bikes on hold last year; however then perpetuum from Hammer and their endurolytes products worked great for no cramps and energy. Perpetuum has protein so cleaning was more involved. Endurolytes are capsules, like bike crack to pass out to the suffering. :cheers:
