I just saw this subthread and it's a slow Friday afternoon at work so here goes. On SJT this Feb, my rear derailleur crapped out, leaving me in the smallest cog. I had a piece of rope with me and Bill Porter came up with this fix. It worked! All MacGuyvers need a piece of rope, wire, duct tape and zip ties. Damn, that's pretty ingenious. How bout instead of carrying all that stuff, I'll just follow you around since you're pretty good with fixing the catastrophic failures? |

weve used rope to pull bikes from the bootom of canyons before. |
