Big UP to the Datsun love. I used to "fly" a '69 Datsun 2000 roadster. 150BHP+light weight+28mm anti-sway bars= Scary fast and nimble.

Sweet sound Timmeh! Always exciting to fire one up. Next time, I recommend not looking into open carbs on the virgin attempt. If the timing is off, your eyebrows might be too. And have a clean rag handy.
Here's why.

Looking forward to your next report.

I know, I have heard this argument befor. "Best numbers out of the box for the money, you'll have to do so much to that to make it fast."

I don't give a stick!

I had a honda with a b16 and you go to the car shows and all you see is b16, b18, or if it was a crazy build B16 type R or B18 type R and now it's k20,k24.(b16 = hella fun motor BTW). Nissans are the same way with the SR - everything has to have an SR.Yes the SR20 is sweet but if I can get 150hp out of this motor I will be stoked, that's a 60hp gain over the stock motor. And so far hella fun. And this will never be a show car, if I can help it. OH YA I almost forgot the main reason, I hate wiring the only wires on this motor are the distributor, the starter and the alternator. I also added a air/fule meter for tuning. Anyway, I am apparently passionate about this.

If I was going to do a turbo/fuel infected motor it would be CA18DET. :bang:

Good for you, Tim, for sticking with the truck motor  Before starting work on my turbo motor, I had toyed with the idea of going with a carbed LD28 diesel stroker with L24 internals set up. I wish I had just for simplicities sake. The wiring for the L28ET looks like my engine bay is eating a plate of spaghetti.
