Hello DT's, this is trail is around Bass Lake just outside Yosemite National Park, do I need to say anything else to describe this trail? I don't think I can and I also don't think the pictures will do justice to the beauty of this area.
This is from last weekend and it was a bit of a cool morning, a couple of very technical sections but I will let the pictures take say the rest:

Good seeing you today. I am completely jealous of your new riding locale. The forest is my favorite place to ride. It's one of the many things I miss about Japan.

Nice post Jose. My family and I spent a week up there each summer from the time I was 1 through college, and all this time, I had no idea there were so many cool trails. We did however get to go swimming in those pools. Glad to hear that you get to go out there and explore some new trails.

Anytime you want Eric, I'm only about 40 minutes from this trail  but before of after the snow season.

I visit Bass Lake each summer and the trail you absolutely have to do is 007. Climb the fire road up and then descend the approx. 7 miles of singletrack down - very fun and great views of Basslake from elevation.

Funny that you mention the 007 trail because I asked some locals and most of them don't think is that great, they think there are much better trails around but I want to find out by miself soon.

If you talk to the locals again, ask them about shuteye peak. You can make it a 35+ mile trek finishing up with the 007 downhill. Also, check out "Goat Mountain" on the other side of Bass Lake. That is God's Country up there, the scenery is awesome.

Ok Lunachix it was too cold to get wet that early and in the low 50's so that is my excuse and I'm sticking to it!!
But it was very rideable

Very nice slideshow on photobucket -- thanks! Another place to remember for a road trip, or side trip for dad on the family trip...
