I found out I had Friday off and wanted to do a long ride plus do some exploring. Me and Greg headed out at 0700 to make our way to Rock House West then check out a singletrack that leads up to the top of Mt. Miguel. I already knew that we would have to hike 85%+ of the climb but we said F it and made our way up. It was a tough hike but really not that bad. I would do it again if that tells you anything. The great thing about it was we then got to do the downhill, all 3 miles of it. Overall it was a great day and we had a great time.
Stats for the ride: 29.01 miles with 4896 feet of climbing.

You two get to do all the fun rides together. I am jealous. Those two climbs are nasty, specially on a SS. You should have taken your RFX.

Thanks for sharing the pictures.

Pretty damn impressive on a rigid SS. Was this just a warm up for your ride this weekend?

I'd really like to come down and ride with you guys sometime. Better yet, I'll quit saying it and just show up one day. :bang:

Darryl told me he had Fri. off wanted to get some mileage on the ride.

Before we left, I said I need to make some PB & J sandwich's as I like to eat something every hour, he says ride won't be tough today, I've got Power bars. Listen to your instinct, make PB & J when riding with Darryl.

We got to the base of MT. Miguel & HAB for several hundred yards & said to each other how much more you want to go, answer was just to the top of this ridge. Well after saying that for an hour & twenty minutes we were at the top of Mt. Miguel.

It was worth it as the descent was AWESOME.I think it was close to three miles.

Good Times for sure, look forward to doing it again.
