Well, we had another great Treaders showing today. Kimba and JJ The Whale had already completed a lap and did some exploring before the rest of us arrived and they were still on fresh legs as they clambered up the silty rocky terrain. Dfacerdm again showed he can climb and descend like a pro...he also balances like a panther on a limb as he rolls some creepy, rocky and craggy outcroppings.
We had the pleasure of riding with a couple celebrities today as well, Barnicle Bill and Jimmy "Super Fly" Snooka and including a cameo appearance by the rarely seen
LDood. I have been witness to a progression in skilz in our very own Dirt Monger, as we were descending Vista Del Mar Trail I caught a glimpse of him tailing me pretty hard..cool! Not only that but his climbing ability has been gaining speed these last few times we've ridden together, I truely believe he should be hitting Nascar now on a regular basis...your skills on the rock rollers have vastly improved Dirt Monger...great job!!! :bang:
Dirty Boo was photog extraordinaire, thanks for capturing the essence of what days like today are all about.
We even met some more Treaders as we climbed up Switchback Trail...Wirk and Javier (?). We got a lap in with them and they sessioned the rocks on the way down Vista Del Mar...Cool!!
Not to mention we even ran into Old Dog Dan when we were down in the gully, it was a Treader-Fest today!!
Thanks for riding with us everyone, it was awesome, and a great pleasure to meet new members of the group.

Claims of skills exhibited by the DM have been greatly exaggerated by the RHS. The peer pressure... it's real hardcore here in LC. Guilt is my steady companion as I cruise down switchbacks, knowing Kimba, RHS, JJ et al. will already be waiting at the bottom of NASCAR.

Thanks for the TR and the great pics, and ...ah... the flattery.

It just occured to me... everyone has a unique "rolling over the rock" face? How was your ride today?

Mike you da man! I broke a link on the first climb and Kimba fixed it for me. I think I have now had every possible demonstration of repairs on the trail by Kmba and RHS. Thanks for the patience guys. Great ride, and My new Camroc helemt cam is on the way so everbody better take showers before SCST.

"Rolling over the rock face face"... Although not prehaps on this forum, but I think that it would make for an interesting study to do comparitive analysis of a persons "Rolling Rock Face" and their "O-Face". My hypothesis: they are likely very similar, concluding that the act of sweet, sweet belly rub'in and droping techy sections illecits almost identical physiological responces...?
Reactions...: Well, that may be, but as much as I love bombing down the single track, there is something about T&A that really turns me on! 8)

ROTFLMAO!!!!
Indeed Luna, my mental checklist includes do not aggravate Jimmy Snooka as well! Not only is he much more intelligent than myself...thoughts now turn to the many many ways he can concieve of to rip my arms off and "super-slam" me around the switchbacks.
Good thing he isn't an Evil Villian.

Super proper eh? yeah the take-off is getting to be a bit more craggy than it used to be so on the run up I get bounced around some making for kind of a nervy lil jump.
The first three saturday of the month we are there at 9am,
Doin' a lil riding at calavera today as well if you want to join later.
What-cha do to your leg, was it from riding?

Oh I see well maybe I'll be able to make it this upcoming saturday....

Yea my leg took a nice hit, I did a stoppie(wheelie on the nose) and then tried to transfer my weight back and land on my rear tire which I have done before. Wasn't really puttin effort into it and my right foot slipped of the platform pedal.....The left foot got all the weight and shot my left pedal around and back to my shin to smash the pins into my leg, and they hit the bone man.....I was worried the first couple of days the small pin holes in my leg wouldn't stop bleeding but now they've scabbed and it should be healed soon.

I really can't wait to do calavera again, I keep seeing pictures of kids hitting the drops/jumps in the main jump area if I visit pinkbike.com theres a guys on there who does pretty well at calavera. Anyway been thinking about it a lot and want to hit that gap drop too. PEACE

I look forward to when you can Luna, 'cause your fun to ride with but also a selfish reason...I want to see you hit those doubles at the bottom past Nascar so I can see what attitude and speed your hitting them at so I can get the nut to hit 'em the right way....maybe session them a bit to get it right.
So...when can you make it back up this way
? :D
