So Jimbro and I rode Elfin today. The dampness made the dirt like Velcro, and we could smell the fires from last(?) year as well as the new growth. Equine Incline, Hodges Overlook Loop and Way Up were all great trails.

We saw a new singletrack that heads north from Equine Incline by a "park boundary ends" sign. It heads northwest, crests a small saddle then heads west down hill prolly to the creek. Anyone know where this trails goes and it's bottom access? It would be great to make a loop out of Elfin if it's worth it.

Here's a couple pics. The creek had so many suds in it it looked like snow when we began. It was gone by the time we ended.

You have PM.
I love riding Elfin after a rain...well, even when its raining sometimes as like you said it has awesome traction when it gets wet there. Its rocky and dg soil conditions make it perfect for a wet weather ride.
Thanks for the pics.

It belongs to an old trail network that existed before the dam was built. There are plans (fragile ones at that) to develop a single track network throughout North County starting at LC, based on the Archipelago idea.
