WoW, we had a heck of a showing today, 8 riders in total. Riders today were:
Gossi, Mike Kim, Pillow Pants, dfacerdm, Brett, JJ The Whale, Dirty Boo, and Red Hot Sloth.
It was pretty cool to have this many riders for the 1st scheduled weekly ride of La Costa Trails. I hope I speak for everyone when I say it was another incredible ride, attitudes were as usual awesome, weather was great, the ride was just a blast, I don't know about you guys but I think this may have been my favorite ride here so far, so thanks everyone for coming out today and riding.
Brett brought out his handsome new steed...The El Guapo for its shakedown run and I have to say, the bike is handsome, it looks like it floated over the rocks and gnarl with ease, and Brett piloted it with expert precision, hitting a couple sweet drops..ahh yes, we have video of the sweetness. I'm going to load the pics at the end and video up after I put it on the toober all, I hope you all don't mind.
We chatted with several other riders today and we invited them to check out the site, they all seemed like they have great attitudes and enjoy riding so I hope they sign up.

Thanks again everyone for showing up and riding, it was another awesome ride, and I walked (drove) away today jazzed, and of course looking forward to the next ride!

Great time this morning, nice temps, nice folks. Brett I knew you'd love that Guapo on the way down, it was born to shred! Looks like Sloth snapped a picture of me oogling your bike. JJ fun chasing you up the hill, I think I found my lung again. Thanks Sloth for setting this up! See you all next week...unless I am convinced to do Anderson at an ugodly early hour (one of my riding buds is making a big push for that, but I'm not convinced).

This was definitely a nice ride today and great to see old and new faces. The Guapo is pretty sweet and can definitely handle way more than I'm currently capable of. But at the same time, it gives me the confidence to try things I wouldn't even consider on the Motolite.

I know this is supposed to be a weekly Sat morning ride but how about doing something like 1st, 2nd, 3rd Saturday @ La Costa and then the 4th Saturday a random ride of: SJT, Noble, Chula Vista (never been there), etc.?

Mike, when I reduce size in pics I just use MS Office Picture manager, Boo uses PS. Its (ms office pic man) fast and easy for a 'tard like me. Chances are quite high that your pc kung foo is much stronger than mine, so it should be a snap for ya. Although, I have noticed that when I load them to the photo page, the pics can be larger than when submitting the file directly to the post.
Brett, I think thats a great idea. Lets think of some places that are multi rider experience level friendly, and deduce which ones are appropriate for this time of year (heat), and we can either take a poll at the beginning couple weeks each month to determine the most popular vote.
By the by, awesome riding today, looks like you and that bike were made for each other, nice drops, sooo smooooth!!
:bang: :bang:

Great pictures and video, funny how the videos don't really do justice of how technical the trails are. It sure looks like you guys had fun!

I agree with brett,
A random destination once a month would be cool. However LaCosta is such a great training/tech ride that Im fine with it. Would be nice to do some adventuring with everyone though.

MIKE! Smiling and looking at the camera instead of the sweeping turn you were executing. Im starting to think that you're faking any sort of dis-comfort to make us all feel better, and then when no-one is looking you smile and wink. If I take my eyes off the trail for a sec Im a bush ornament! By the way, Mike was mid-pack on the Vista Climb and caught me, prob made up at least a minute on that climb so watch -out everyone!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA

Ok guys I'm still waiting for the "bike leaning against something" shot of "El Guapo", you guys had a new bike in the group and is not acceptable not to include one on this tread, so if you have it post it please

Sorry Baja, the closest thing we got is the 4th pic down in the first post. If you use your imagination and think of my chicken legs as a couple of majestic peaks in the background, that would be what you're looking for!

Well if you ever get a chance to post a couple of porn shots of the bike not yours  on the drive side just to check it out. My friend Janice just got her Racer X custom made and it looks sweet so I want to check out "El Guapo", thanks.
