Favorite Trails: I'll know it when I find it.
On my 4-day weekend over the 4th, I'd hoped to log a relatively bigger ride in unfamiliar territory. It did not pan out. With a touch of irritation, I ended up at the good ol' standby; Calavera (still my favorite place).

Rolled up from the high school at 7:30AM to try and get a tiny head-start on the heat. Cruised solo through the back 40 and then mosied to the pad. I ended up looping up and down from there at least five runs. Rolled the jump line a couple of times and also a 'new to me' section a couple of times too - always a treat to encounter something there that I haven't done before (especially after a nearly uncountable number of rides there).

I ran into the Cala Reaper (had never met - super nice dude). And then ran into Harley, Harley 3, and Bob at the end. They're pretty nice too.

It's funny how fun and satisfying a solo ride can be at such a familiar place. I'm still basking in the glow of satisfaction, which I was not expecting at the onset of my ride.

That is the beauty of Calavera. I do many solo rides out there that turn into rides.

Keep this up and next thing you know you'll be posting in Soul Riders.
