Favorite Trails: There are so many...
Took a little spin this morning. Thought I saw a small rattlesnake however it was a gopher snake (Could of swore I heard a little rattle) off the side of trail and snapped a pic then he slithered away.

Continued on with my ride at an easy pace today.
The views were beautiful even though it was overcast.

More pics of my bike (I really like my bike)

Out to the rocks, down the rabbit trail, over to wild west then lo & behold, I came around the corner and up a bit laying halfway across the trail was a much bigger & longer rattler... of course that is the trail I need to continue on (I wasn't going to backtrack). So of course I snapped his pic (yes from a distance with a good zoom!).

I waited a couple minutes...usually they just slither back into the brush. Not this one... Still waiting....No rocks around to toss at him to get him to move so I used sticks... after several attempts he coiled back under the brush but not enough for me to pass.

More sticks. Finally he turned around and moved on but only after several rattles which is pretty scary sounding...Should have used the video instead of the camera. Anyhow... be careful out there! This is still the time of year (at least here) that they are coming out.

Slow pace today but it involved lots of climbing including the volcano...again

At first glance someone that doesn't ride Calavera might see 11.5 miles and think it was a average ride. It's a lot of work to rack up those miles there Sue. Nice job and TR
