Thanks Matt! I'd be lying if I didn't admit to enjoying those few seconds of being a video "hero", especially since my hero moments are rare. Your new camera takes great video, and the editing was nice. But this was only the second-best hero moment of a fun ride. I wish someone had captured Big Clyde surmounting that hill climb first try and proclaiming "Old Guys Rule!", after repeated fails by younger dudes, and someone jeering "you better back up farther than that!" as he started. Now THAT was a hero moment!

^^Haha. Although I was MIA, I heard about this heroic feat. As a matter of fact, I also heard a certain someone that would normally be expected to clean that hill, but didn't, got a good case of butt-hurt. Go Harley!

LOL, no butt-hurt on this end. As always, skill triumphs over brute (dumb) force.

Nice job Harley!

I may have taken video of that moment also, but I haven't gone through all the videos yet.

I forgot about that! I'll see if I can find it tomorrow evening.

Perhaps I embellished just a smidge, but I would have sworn that's what they reported on KUSI 10 news....... :)

Where is this section located? Beneath the shed?

Yes, the short rock section immediately before the creek. Linking that with the other sections and the steep climb up from the creek is a fun challenge. I used to think I'd never get the whole thing because of that climb, but maybe there's hope yet...

(...regrettably, the hope for me is made possible by some stravasshole moving the rocks at the base of the climb. I had made it over the rocks before, but now I can carry a little momentum. Others made it up before the rocks were moved. I didn't mind that I probably never would.)

Ok, it doesn't look nearly as dramatic in this video as it actually was. Trust me when I say this was a Momentous occasion.
