Rode at Lake Morena yesterday.
Rode a MTB destination, rode
with a mountain biker, and saw
bikers.........................................

Saw a rattler,
had beers after,
it was like a mountain
bike ride..................

I was there two weeks ago after more than a year not riding there. Sure is nice. I did not have a throttle to twist, took a bit longer to cover the same ground ;-)

Thank for the post Harley. I have not been there in over a year and Spur Canyon trail still calls to me... and Wrangler ... and all the rest. An acquaintance of mine lives there in the Espinoza/heart valley and rides like a madman, like 50 milers on a mtb on the reg, out there. His name is Bill and he rides a Specialized.

Mike,
Is Bill a skinny guy
that works at a bike
shop in Big Bear in the
summer?

Used to race out there in the Sagebrush Safari every year on a MTB. Have also ridden out there a few times on KTM's. Just looking at you guys, I can say I don't missing getting all geared up for a dirt bike ride. My next motorized dirt machine will be a Polaris Razr.

We raced Sagebrush too.
In the late 80's into the 90's.
First time out there on the Moto's,
I felt guilty about tearing up the
trail.
Got over that fast...................

We chased him and another guy down
Wrangler. Caught them at the end. Talked
to him for a while, nice guy.

I'm not a moto guy, but sometimes when I'm riding my mtb I make "braaaaap, braaaaap" noises and twist my imaginary throttle.

I saw one of those Zero electric dirt bikes parked on the road the other day. It had road tires mounted on it, and it looked like somebody was using it for a daily commuter.
Big-ass Li-ion battery on that baby. Looked bad-ass!
