I went for a nice afternoon/evening solo ride last night at Hollenbeck Canyon. Clear skies, mid-60's, plenty of lush greenery - couldn't ask for anything better. Instead of the usual 12-15 mile "figure-8" loop, I only did half of the usual ride plus a few other forays, totaling a tad over 8 miles.

Some lush greenery was to be found in this oak grove:

This was about 40 minutes after sunset, so I used a tripod and a 6-second exposure:


I used a 15-second exposure for this one. You can see the lights from a jet as it's making the turn around San Miguel Mountain, which lines it up with the runway about 15 miles out:


This little fella scurried off the trail as I approached, but was nice enough to hold still for his photo-op:

The poison oak at the tank (and up-trail) looks lush already...
