Pasadena Mtn bike club annual thanksgiving day ride. I did it a couple years ago, 4 mile climb followed by a party then a 5 mile descent of El Prieto. This year I did a $15. shuttle run, 4000 ft lost and 1000 ft gained in about 20 miles and connected with the main group on a saddle just above El Prieto.

This ride is highly recommended, not as aggressive as Noble, as exposed as SART but more technical; wish I had more time to explore more of what's offered here. Redo fo sho!

I rode up there a few times in the late 1980s. On my rigid Schwinn high sierra. Brutal nut numbing climb up the railway, but fun going down until you needed brakes. Rim brakes truly sucked on big mountains.

I haven't been back since I moved to San Diego in 1990. Someday I'll go back.
