These two guys from work showed me a new singletrack somewhere in T-town after work tonight. Or maybe it was in Bakersfield. These guys are younger than me and riding those damn carbon fiber hard tails. Only stopped long enough for a photo once. My friend on the left is lean and fast. They made me suffer on a couple miles of mostly uphill -- but nice -- trail that ultimately dead ended in a fresh section and a pile of tools. It was getting dark by then, so we turned on headlamps, and headed down. Lots of up and down, but mostly down of course on the return. I hadn't done a night ride in a while, much less on a tight and twisty trail totally unfamiliar to me, but I loved it. I don't know who the gnome is, but he is doing a fine job. Narrow bench cut trail hugging canyon sides and wandering through tall brush and small trees. Some short steeps, and some longer climbs, but all quite doable by a fit rider. I had to do some walking because i was tired, but never because it was too difficult otherwise. Very nice. Brings to mind Tunnels or CamRu. Stopped at Garage Brewing Company for pizza and a tasty Inline IPA on the way home. Thank you trail gnome.

There are a couple of "new" single tracks in T-town that I am aware of....is the trail you sampled west of the 15 or south of the 79 south?

Why not share the Strava data so we can ride it, too?

Or, were you just posting to gloat over a trail that only you know about ??

Well, you and the cool cats who shared the trail with you?

Take a note from their playbook??

My guess is that he might only want to share the info offline in order to avoid providing easy access to those that come across as sarcastic d-bags. That's purely a guess though.

If it were me, I'd do it just to gloat. Ahhh dangit... Looks like I just joined the sarcastic d-bag club.
