A few of us went for a ride a Black Mountain today. For most of us it was our first time there. Very different terrain compared to Calaveras, Hodges or other places. Lots of rocky technical single track. Well really only one trail, but pretty long.

After the fires it gives new meaning to Black Mountain. For the most part we rode up a hill, down the other side, then back up the same hill in the opposite direction. Then we did a little exploring, turned around and rode part way up the same hill again. A couple people fell down and I for one am extremely tired this afternoon.

My Dad shortly after falling down and then a close up of the damages after the ride.

Even Skylar fell down, just simply trying to turn around, hope he's OK, it hurt bad cause he landed his hip on a rock.

The blackened area is Lusardi Grasslands aka Santa Luz aka BMW (Black Mountain West). Amazing amount of old migrant camp debris on top of the hill that burned. I never knew. The fire revealed a lot.

Rode it today with A_Street. It looked like riding in another planet. Amazing
