The sunny, beautiful weather sure is nice; but we sure could use some more rain.

Wanted to get some easy miles on dirt so I rode Hodges this morning. Glad I planned on riding cuz one can't do anything else.



Water level is really, really low. On the east side it's dry to about the turn off for the Bernardo Mtn trail.

Rode over to the Piedras Pintada Trail and took some self timer shots at the fun little rock garden.



Lots of friendly people out and about on the trails enjoying the morning. Good way to start the day!

Cool. Saw several father/son pairs out there today. My Dad just had a birthday, a couple of weeks ago, and I let him know how much the time we spent outside (hiking/camping) as a kid cultivated my love for the outdoors.

Gotta find some neon pink and blue to round out my kit. Grew up surfing in the 80s...

My son and I hiked Piedras Pintadas this morning as well. May have seen you! It was gorgeous out, and those rocks were a lot of fun for a 3 year old to climb on.
