Favorite Trails: Cuyamaca; Fanita Ranch
I received a last-minute invitation to ride Cuyamaca today, and boy am I glad it worked out. ~26 miles on the SS, clear blue skies, perfect temps, and tacky dirt. A stop at Mananas (and a chance encounter with another DT'er) put an exclamation mark on an already great day. If you can get up there this weekend, do it. We rode from Sweetwater but all the trails were in great condition, so wherever you ride you're going to have an awesome time.

Sounds great! Always beautiful up there. I had completely forgotten that it rained earlier and was pleasantly surprised this morning by good dirt. Nice.

Good to see you at Mananas. We got there late because the trail work at Cuyamaca ran a bit long and we were just arriving just as you were leaving. I'm still aching head to toe from moving a large number of very big rocks to armor a switchback. I'm not built for that type of labor. But it was a good day to be out there, either building or riding!

^^^^ Mañanas? I thought George was jonesing for a burger at Descanso Junction, but I do understand the siren call of a Mañanas burrito...

Good to see you up there too Chuck!

We drove past a total cluster-f* of cars in front of Descanso Junction and then decided to keep driving to Mananas. I was hankering for a fish burrito, and I talked down George's hankering for a burger.
