I haven't ridden PQ in ages and finally got out there today for a solo ride.
I saw about 100 meters of new single track on the North Side of the creek and West of the hill that goes to Side Hill. It runs along the fire road. Pretty cool

Once I got to the Mesa, looks like some homes have been completed in the construction area and new ones are being built. The trail that goes along side the road by the new homes before it gets to Cobbles is almost like a fucking road. Flat and smooth and gay.

Looks like someone has moved the rocks to the side on Cobbles and made it nice and smooth and gay.

I didn't see any signs at the entrance of Funnels.
The vernal pools are still out there popping out fairy shrimp, but I didn't stop to look in them.

The best part of my ride:
I was heading back after attempting some trials on rocks. On the single track after the Waterfall on the North side, a dude in spandex rolled up behind me and was about to pass me. There was no way I was going to let a dude in spandex slow me down and I didn't want to watch moose knuckle, so I put the power down and accelerated and left him in my dust. I had to stop for one dude riding the other way on the single track, but that still didn't allow him to catch up to me. I'm fast! I'm faster than! I'm faster than spandex too

Here are the pics:

Bike's looking good.

A few years ago, Before Strava (B.S.), we did some trail work on upper Cobbles. Part of that included raking the rocks back into the middle of the trail as they had been completely pushed to either side. There was a huge rain storm right after that so I didn't make it out there for several weeks, but when I did, the rocks had been raked aside again. My guess was it was the horse people, but later found out some woman MTBer was doing the same thing in Tumbles.

Yeah, I do remember someone found the rake out there in the bushes and caught her moving the rocks. Those rocks are still off to the side on funnel 4 and climbing out using funnel 4 has become a walk in the park. I guess it doesn't bother me much b/c I'll be out of SD by the end of the year. It's your guy's problem now!
