Someone asked me a few weeks ago if I would be interested in doing this ride as its not completely abandoned as I had thought. Back in 2007 there was some talk about someone doing some work out there but nothing came out of it. Then a couple years ago some indigenous asshole posted a video of some stuff.

This was one of my regular afterwork rides that I worked into my routine at least once a week for a few years. Todays ride showed me some of the remnants of that system, reminded me of the climb(s) to the top and the climb(s) to the bottom.
It was a great ride with great company, laughs, friends and....that one guy... :hello:

The weather was overcast, fog, just thick enough to dampen your clothes and to keep you cool as your heating system on the climbs pegs and pings in the red-zone.
But the climbs couldnt have been too bad as I only multi-dabbed a couple times and the rest of the time I was in the middle ring and for me to be able to do that means it musta been some easy climbing.

You can tell its spring time as all the flora is flourishing and thriving vibrantly.

Thanks for the ride and great time everyone, thanks for the invite Clyde!

Dude.....Enough flower pictures already!
For a while there, I thought I was paging through my Botany 101 textbook.

Any near-misses with jogging strollers?
Did you enjoy the "Tripe" trails?
How about that "Secret Trail"?

Todays climbing ride was a philosophical ride Clyde. It was about mind over matter, I didnt mind the climbs so it didnt matter....
In fact, I truely enjoyed it. Im glad you invited us on this tour through the past.
Nomad
As far as MILF's, DILF's, BILF's, baby strollers and hikers, I dont believe there were any near misses.
I do see another trip in the not too distant future to see what else is left out there.
I think Clyde has some sweet pics and vids of stuff thats not flowers.

...and you all thought that Double Peak was in San Onofre!

Not too thrilled at the descent from the top unless San Marcos approves a DH trail re-route some year soon.
That way, we could climb as well as descend.

I ride my road bike up to the top from the Cal State side every Wednesday at lunch.

Those stroller collisions can be brutal.
