TR: La Costa finally revisited...

Well, today was my first ride in a month and I expected it to be excruciating. I don't wear the Ipod when riding in a group setting but since I was solo today I figured why not and put on my "Flow" playlist.
I had suprised myself though, I climbed Switchbacks with just one dab and not stopping...once I reached Nascar I made an immediate right turn with out thought and headed down, but I needed to drop the seat a bit and then just nailed the descent, hit the drops without hesitation and climbed Vista Del Mar. It was here that my legs got soft..right when I made it to the dark dirt on the steeper section I had to stop for a minute to try and get some juice back into them. My breathing felt fine, but the legs weren't really there anymore. I made it to the kiosk without much fuss and decided to snap off a couple pics...

I soon headed back towards Swithchback Trail where I ran into a couple riders that I recognized from mmteebeeare and invited them over here. We chatted for a few and I was off to complete my ride by railing those beautiful berms.
Trail conditions and weather were near perfect today. I think it was around 68 degrees with just a slight breeze and clear skies. The air was crisp and fresh. The trail was not dusty and there was traction satisfaction at every turn.
I reached the staging area and snapped off a couple more pics. Sorry for not having any of the trails but I was having too much fun riding to stop.

Sounds like a great ride.

I love the red dirt there. It's pretty distinctive.

I would really like to but I work weekends now. My day off is wednesday...bummer

I want to check oot your new ride though, hows it treating you?

Thanks Thrillride,
I've been working some mad crazy hours...a couple weeks there I was leaving my house at 3:45am and getting home at 9:30-10pm. This week seems a little easier, leave the house at 5:30am get home by 6pm..but today I got home about 20minutes ago...very strange.
So basically being too tired to ride on my day off and working too many hours kept me off the bike for a month.
Stickers....hmmm...lets ask Thai when the next batch will be out as he was the one who got the last batch up and running and sold. I know he payed the costs up front for them all and it took a little while to get the money from everyone..including me, so its all up to him. Ldood set up some different stickers at Cafepress.com I believe, ask him what you need to do to check those out as well.
