Well, I just finished converting the 'cross bike to tubeless. I went with Hutchinson Pirrana CX tubeless ready tires and Stan's rimstrips. I've only riden it on the road for a short test ride, but it definitley feels more supple and it took about 3/4 of a pound off the bike at the most crucial spot.
I'll be riding to work tomorrow and my commute takes me through some fast rolling fire roads as well as about 23 miles of crappy roads. The sure-fire test will be next Wed.'s Empire nite ride at LPQ.
Come on out and watch me kill myself! :flame:

How much does this conversion cost? How low are your pressures? I love the 'cross bike in LPQ. It just makes my wrist and shoulders sore.

I have them at +/- 80 psi for road now and they feel like 60/65 with a conventional setup.
All together my "cost" was 100 bones. I would expect to double that for retail proper. When I got home tonight I bombed some of the MILF trails around here and was very pleased with the ride qualities. Worth every penny in my opinion. :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

I thought you wound up wearing most of the Stans when you got them up to 80. Boom!

Once you finish getting my Ventana setup tubeless, then I'll be drinking the Stans koolaid too. :drunk:
