So made it back in one piece. Flats were good. takes a little getting used to. the trick for me was dropping the seat down more than usual for descents. I'll most likely invest in a pair 5-10 shoes, they're spendy but grip great. I have the ankle iced to be safe. A little general soreness due to not having used it (the foot) in 9 weeks.
T5 is so rutted up, holy crap! Who's going through there yankin on the brakes the entire time?
Saw a walker in Dockers, tucked in polo, a hat and a bottle of water cruising the fire road near the top of T5 -- odd because I've never seen anyone walking by themselves up there, let alone, wearing pleated docker pants. Maybe it's someone from one of the agencies.
I'll have to hit it again tomorrow night and go through the other tunnels. If anyone is interested, I'll be going again about the same time. 4:45-5.
